The personal financial planning process is generally accepted as a six-step process as follows:

  1.  Setting goals in an initial meeting
  2.  Gathering relevant background information
  3.  Analysing the information
  4.  Constructing a financial plan and meeting with the client again to confirm recommendations
  5.  Implementing the strategies
  6.  Monitoring implementation through review meetings

By means of this process we understand our clients' financial circumstances and incorporate their objectives and attitudes to risk.

Financial Planning

Financial planning is the strategic advice provided in the light of clients, circumstances (rather than the management of investment assets, which we call wealth management).

We have a meeting with all of our clients. In this process we establish a client's current financial situation as well as their objectives and attitudes to money, to family and business, in order that we can develop with them strategies around saving, income, borrowing, tax and insurance.

Our services and fees mean that we can offer you pure financial planning. Clients should put in place a strategy which incorporates, savings, income, borrowing taxation and protection: our Independent status means we are not tied to any product or provider and are therefore able to choose the most appropriate option.

We endeavour to meet our clients individually once a year or more frequently if appropriate.

For our financial planning services clients will pay us fees, our fee structure being explained on the fee page
